How do I remove this shortcut virus (in my system and flashdrive) PERMANENTLY?

I have Windows8. And so far it's doing good. And I am satisfied by the service the WindowsDefender was giving to me, until recently.

TRIGGER and CAUSE:

Yesterday, when my friend was transferring movies to my flashdrive... my files turned to shortcuts..
He didn't know what to do, so I said, "it's fine just remove my flash drive I will try to fix it on my laptop."

When I plugged it in my laptop, I was a little preoccupied on removing the virus from it. I searched the internet. And found cmd commands on removing the shortcuts and recovering the files.. Yes I was able to recover them. And reformatted my flashdrive.
But then the virus keeps converting my files to shortcuts even right after reformatting was done.

BTW, when I was running cmd commands.. I found a file along with the hidden files and the shortcuts of the files..
THIS FILE IS CALLED: nkvasyoxww.vbs

does it ring any bell to you guys?

i know it has something to do with the virus. coz it keeps appearing even after i delete it..

So I know that the virus has reached my system.
And I was really hoping Windows Defender could fix it. I tried updating it. Did a full-scan on the system. It found only 3 virus and I'm so sure they weren't related to the shortcut virus...
After that I tried looking it up on the internet again... and they all suggest the same...

2. Open your recovery (press volume Down + Power button or it can be different according to the phones.

3. There’ll b an option in recovery called “mount”. Go in that option and then mount all the cache and everything it is there.

4. Then select “update” and select “apply update from SD/external” and select aroma file manger.zip file that you downloaded using above QR code above.

5. After Flashing or updating, the aroma file manger will open. Use volume keys for up/down and power button 2 select like you use to get into recovery.

6. In aroma File manager , Go to menu , which is located in bottom strip and then select Settings.

7) If default username and password also didnt work then we have another solution! You can bypass the USERNAME and PASSWORD page!!! What you want to do is just type you'r default gateway in you'r browsers address bar and type in "/main.html" and here you are! Congrats..You are in you'r router's setting!

1) Right-click on your desktop. Navigate to "New" and then to "Text Document"

3) Open the .bat file. "Remote Shutdown Dialog" should pop up when you open it.

5) After you find the name, click "Add..." and type the computers name (EXACTLY), and hit "OK".

6) Now, you have a few options before you make their computer shutdown. You can make their computer: Shutdown, Logoff, or Restart.
After you picked the type of shutdown you want to do, you can choose how long the message will stay up for. Default on my computer is 20 seconds. <- If you don't want to be caught, set it to a low number so they can't see who forced the shutdown.

7) Set a comment! You can type in the "Comment" box to make the shutdown dialog say something. For example, if you type "fuck off" in the comment box, the shutdown dialog will say at the bottom "fuck off".
